Barn Cat/Porch Cat Snip Day.  February 11, 2026, in Cameron at 502 N. Crockett (behind Magnolia House and El Charro). Please note the Milam County Grant is NOT available for this event, but we do have special event pricing.

We have two options on Barn Cat Day — the traditional Barn Cat pricing at $50 per cat

For Barn Cat pricing — $50 for each cat, you get the following:

Spay/neuter (injected pain medication and antibiotics)

Rabies vaccination (no certificate or tag)

FVRCP vaccination

Ear Tip (required)

Please note: You will have no proof of rabies vaccination, and Dr. Brinlee will have no individual record of your cat being treated. This is important for legal considerations. But if you have a barn, stray, or feral cat you are feeding, this is the program to prevent reproduction and protect the cat from rabies.

The minimum age and weight are 8 weeks and 2 lbs. (12 weeks is ideal, because they are old enough for their rabies shot.)

For Porch Cat pricing — $65 for each cat, you get the following:

Spay/neuter (injected pain medication and antibiotics)

Rabies vaccination (certificate and tag)

FVRCP vaccination

Ear Tip (required)

Microchip with registration and transfer

Please complete the form below to register. Complete one form for each cat. Please don’t register more than four unless we have instructed you to do that.

Special Notes:

For residents inside the city limits of Milano and Thorndale: Your cats will be spayed or neutered at no charge to you. We’ll check your address and should already know this, but if we miss it, please ask. If you live on a county road, you are not inside city limits. If you live outside of city limits, you are not inside city limits.

The Milam County Grant is NOT available for this event.

  1. My 78 year old mom needs to have 4.porch cats spayed. Do you still have any openings left?

  2. My 78 year old mom has 4 female cats that need to be sprayed. She lives in the country and people keep dumping pregnant cats off but being on a fxed income.,.my husband and I
are putting out the money for food. So we have rehomed most of them & some have just disappeared . They were male and wondered off..First they would come back, but after that they didn’t. So they do not need chipped, right now they’re we just need them fixed. They’re outside cats but at night they sleep on a enclosed porch.

  3. Is there anyway these can be picked up in Thorndale at my house as I am disabled and not able to get them to Cameron

    1. Hi, Judy. I believe we have someone who can do that. Please register, and we’ll work it out.

  4. Hello. I am in Falls County. May I sign up for your spaying services (for feral cats!). Thank you.

      1. I have three more but cannot catch them and don’t know their sex what should I do about them ?

        1. Judy, you need to register the cats by completing the registration form. Without that, you won’t have the slots you need. The event is filling fast.

  5. I missed the January 28 snip and chip sign up for Luna and Rocky. Hoping to get into this February 11th event. They have both been seen twice by Dr. Brinley’s staff at Wellness Days and have all their shots and have been chipped. You should have prior records or I can bring copy of records.

    1. Hi, Barb. Since they have their shots and chips, just sign them up at barn cats. You’ve already paid once for shots and chips. Don’t pay again.

  6. William Smith here. I signed up for the barn cat snip day, Feb 11, 2026 and had an 0830 appointment time. I need to cancel the appointment as I will be out of town that week. I will hopefully get my barn cat there next month.
