Milam Touch of Love is pleased to announce our next snip/chip clinic is on February 25th in Milano at the Community Center, located at 303 W. Avenue E. This event is open to all Milam County Residents for their dogs or cats. Please note that the Snip & Chip setup is not suitable for older dogs and cats (over 8 years of age) or dogs/cats with certain medical conditions. Because of this, we may not be able to schedule your pet for snip and chip but we will recommend having the procedure performed in Dr. Brinlee’s office, where it will be safer for them. For $130 ($80 for male cats) the following services will be performed:

* Spay or neuter (with injected pain medication & antibiotics)

* Rabies shot with certificate and tag

* Microchip with free registration and transfer

* CBC bloodwork

* Heartworm test (for dogs over 6 months of age)

Other services are available for an additional charge.

Special Notes: For residents INSIDE the city limits of Milano : Your dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered free of charge. We’ll check your address and should already know this, but if we miss it, please ask. This includes the basic spay/neuter package and wellness package items. For all other participants, the Milam County Grant is available, which reduces your bill by $40 per animal. Please note, the Thorndale City Resident Program budget has been exhausted for Fiscal Year 2026.

  1. Are all spots taken? I’m in desperate need of a snip n chip for my Bassett Hound Ruby. Or can you tell me when the next registration is for Cameron residents, when it will be and if there will be a cost?

    1. Normally, I would say all spots were taken, but we had a couple of cancellations, so we can get Ruby in. Please email us the following information to mtolsnipandchip@gmail.com

      You name, address, phone number, and email address. Ruby’s name, gender, breed, approximate weight, approximate birthday, any medications she is currently taking, and anything we might need to know about her. Will you need to borrow a crate?

      The basic spay package includes spay, injected antibiotics and pain meds, rabies vaccination, and microchip. For additional fees, you can add Distemper or bordarella vaccines, nail trim, or dewormer.

      The basic package costs $130-$40 (Milam County Grant) for a total of $90 payable at drop-off.
