Last night we held our first annual meeting, at the Hermit Haus on Main Street. The people who came were really fired up to work with Milam Touch of Love, which warmed everyone’s hearts.
Our directors had shirts made with our new logo on it, so it was easy to spot us. We got lots of information from various people at the meeting about possible things to put on fundraiser t-shirts, and what kind of shirts/pricing would work best. Thanks to everyone who contributed ideas, especially Crystal, who brought some sample shirts.
Jean Schara, MTOL President, gave a report on what we have done with the donations and memberships we have already received, and it was so great to hear how the dogs at the Cameron Pound have already benefited from our group. We gratefully accepted 8 new memberships as well. We need more, so contact one of our directors (Facebook is the easiest way), or use our membership form so YOU can join us.
In other actions, our bylaws and committee structure were accepted by the membership, which means we could go to work figuring out who would be working with which committee. Ideas were flying all over the place!
One suggestion we got was to have better committee descriptions, so we’ve updated our committee page with more detail. Let us know if you want to work with us on any committee. You can send a message on our Facebook page, or send an email to info at milamtouchoflove.org.
