Please find MTOL’s Schedule of Events for 2024 below.  We have included the expected date for registration to open for each event in the table. Registration usually fills within hours, so please do not delay if you are looking for a particular event.

We do NOT maintain a list of people who want a particular event. We do NOT remind people–set a reminder in your phone or your calendars if need be.  You are each responsible for your own lives and the lives of your pets.

We are an all-volunteer organization with limited numbers of volunteers, so we work one event at a time. Please do not ask to register for future events. Dates and locations for events are subject to change based upon weather or availability of venue or veterinary staff.

We will attempt to address the most asked questions in the text above the schedule table.

Early (6am) on the day registration opens, come to the site and find the registration post. If registration is still open, a registration form for that event will be embedded in the post. Please register each pet individually (yes, if you have four animals, you need to fill the form out and submit it four times). Once registration is full, we will update the post title with closed and remove the registration form.

Milano and Thorndale residents who reside inside city limits, your city has budgeted for you to receive the basic spay/neuter package for free. We will check addresses and automatically ensure you are covered.

Milam County Grant. Thank your county commissioner for this grant available to Milam County residents. Checking the box for this grant reduces your cost to $50 for dogs and female cats and $25 for male cats and barn cats.

If none of the above programs allow you to get your pets spayed or neutered, please contact us privately. We are doing everything in our power to ensure finances are not the reason you can’t spay or neuter your pets.

COST:

Dogs and Female Cats: $100

Male Cats and All Cats at Barn Cat Day: $55

What does the spay/neuter package consist of:

Snip and Chip: Spay/Neuter, injected pain and antibiotic medications, rabies vaccination with a certificate, bloodwork, heartworm test for dogs over six months, and microchip with free registration and transfer. Optional services are available upon request and at an additional charge — see registration form for details.

Barn Cat Day: Spay/Neuter, injected pain and antibiotic medications, undocumented rabies vaccination, and optional microchip with free registration and transfer.

  1. What is the wellness for exactly? I have a pup that has a lump maybe Umbilical cord hernia to be looked at. And I have to get shots for my other dog thank you

    1. It’s a walk-in clinic. It’s ideal for routine office visits — vaccinations, heartworm tests, prescription refills, and general evaluation. You could certainly get shots for your dog. The umbilical hernia could be evaluated and treatment could be scheduled for the office, but surgeries are not performed at Wellness Day.
