Milam Touch of Love is pleased to announce our next snip/chip clinic is on February 28th in Milano at the community Center, located at 303 W Avenue E. This event is open to all Milam County Residents for their dogs or cats. Please note the Snip & Chip setup is not suitable for older dogs and cats (over 8 years of age) or dogs/cats with certain medical conditions. Because of this, we may not be able to schedule your pet for snip and chip but will recommend having the procedure performed in Dr. Brinlee’s office where it will be safer for them. For $100 ($55 for male cats) the following services will be performed:

* Spay or neuter (with injected pain medication & antibiotics)

* Rabies shot with certificate and tag

* Microchip with free registration and transfer

* CBC bloodwork

* Heartworm test (for dogs over 6 months of age) Other services are available for an additional charge.

Special Notes: For residents INSIDE the city limits of Milano and Thorndale: Your dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered free of charge. We’ll check your address and should already know this, but if we miss it, please ask. This includes the basic spay/neuter package. Additional services will be at your own expense.

Milam County Grant: Thanks to our Milam County Commissioners, we have a grant to offset spay and neuter costs. After applying for the Milam County Grant (only available to Milam County Residents), your cost will be $50 for dogs and female cats or $25 for male cats. If you want this grant to apply to you, please select it in the registration form. This only applies to the basic spay/neuter package. Additional services will be at your own expense.

  1. Hello.
    How do I register for these?
    I see it is already closed but I never did see a way to register.

    Thank you.

    1. Hi, Anne. When we close registration, we remove the registration form from the post. That’s why you don’t see it.

      1. I began searching for the Feb.28 registration forms on the 16th as it showed on the website tha it would open on thec17th. I checked at 8 a.m. and several times during the day and again on the 18th. I could not find the 4egistration forms. I sent in an inquiry. There was no response.

  2. I need to register my dog but on the website it says that is close with I never seem the registration open. How do I register?

  3. What time does registration usually open because on 2/17 at 815am it was already closed? Is there a specific date and time that it opens? What I read said 2/17 and I thought 8am would give me a good chance of getting registered.

    1. Please look at the pinned post right above this one. Look for the date in March in the schedule table. Please note the date registration will open, then return here at 6 am on that day to find the registration post for that event.

    2. Go to the website (milamtouchoflove.org), check the schedule to find the event you want, wait for registration to open (the projected date is included), register on the registration post when it goes live.

      One reader suggested the way it’s explained is hard to follow and offered the following advice for January’s event. So basically if you go to the website, you can click to see the events that are coming up. If you scroll you’ll see where it says the next snip and chip is on January 24th. It says the registration is going to open on the 13th. So early on Jan 13th, you’ll need to go to the same website, then you will see the registration. You go ahead and fill it out and they’ll send you a text later to confirm and they’ll give you a time and address.
