Barn Cat Snip Day.  February 14, 2024, at the Milano Community Center across from the Post Office.

This is Barn Cat pricing — $55 for each cat.  For that price, you get the following:
Spay/neuter (injected pain medication and antibiotics)
Rabies vaccination (no certificate or tag)
Ear Tip (required)
A microchip is optional at no extra charge.
Please note: You will have no proof of rabies vaccination, and Dr. Brinlee will have no individual record of your cat being treated. This is important for legal considerations. But if you have a barn, stray, or feral cat you are feeding, this is the program to prevent reproduction and protect the cat from rabies.
The minimum age and weight are 8 weeks and 2 lbs. (12 weeks is ideal because they are old enough for their rabies shot then.)

Please complete the form below to register. Complete one form for each cat. Please don’t register more than four.

Special Notes:
For residents inside the city limits of Milano and Thorndale: Your cats will be spayed or neutered free of charge. We’ll check your address and should already know this, but if we miss it, please ask. If you live on a county road, you are not inside city limits. If you live outside of city limits, you are not inside city limits.
Milam County Grant: For all Milam County residents not covered by the city programs listed above. The Milam County Grant reduces Barn Cat Pricing to $25 per cat.

    1. You have to wait for registration to open, then there will be a post for the event with a registration form embedded in it.

    1. How do I get in touch with y’all? How do I go about getting my Tom Cat fixed? I know Dr Daniels office has closed…..

      1. This is one way. We have a Contact Us link in the header on this site. For what you’re asking, please ready our pinned schedule post at the top of our main page.

The next barn cat day is March 13. Registration won’t open until the Saturday after Snip and Chip on the 28th. Cost is $55. If you are a Milam County resident, you are eligible to select the Milam County Grant which drops the cost to $25.

For TNR, we don’t charge, but we do appreciate any donations you care to give. Our cost for all TNRs averages $55 per cat, and you can register your cats on our Homeless Cat Census. We are currently working on registrations from two years ago due to a shortage of volunteers to trap and a shortage of appointments.
